August 24, 1950 ~ January 14, 2022

Patrick Schilke, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on January 14, 2022 in Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 9-10 A.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Wyuka Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Tom Rempel officiating. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery after services. A reception will be provided at Wyuka’s Garden Room. Memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date.  The service will be livestreamed, click HERE.

Patrick was born on August 24, 1950 in Lincoln, to Merlyn and Patsy (McEntarffer) Schilke. Growing up, he was a member of the Havelock Methodist church, but for the past 10 years, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a 39-year employee at Villager Motor Inn and then worked the last 10 years in the kitchen for Sodexo. He received many awards for his outstanding service, including employee of the year in 1984. Patrick was an avid Husker sports and USA olympic enthusiast. He could be found traveling, spending time, playing board and card games with family and friends or going on walks. Patrick was always there for his family’s events, whether it was a game or a recital, you could count on him to be there. Patrick will be forever remembered for his kind spirit, his selflessness and his lively nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Terry Schilke, and nephew Colin Schilke.

Patrick is survived by his brothers Jerry and Harry Schilke; sisters Merle Jean and Eva Schilke; sister-in-law Nancy Schilke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

  6. My late husband, Marty, and Patrick visited many of the families in our church congregation on Sunday afternoons together. Marty and I both were deeply moved by Patrick’s devotion to God and to helping others. My prayers are with his family as they mourn. We loved Patrick and pray his memory inspires others to care more for others, too. Anne and Marty Gardner

    • I am sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. I worked with Pat at the Villager Motor Inn. He was always such a dependable hard worker and positive person even when the stress in the kitchen was hot! What a Husker sports fan he was!

  8. I worked with Pat many year’s at the Villager Best Western also at Sodexo he was always a very dedicated man to his job you could always count on him. Always a smile no matter how tough things got. Your in God’s hands Pat and dearly missed 🙏
