She meant a great deal to me. And, I learned a lot from her.

We adored our Halloween trick or treating in the candy filled neighborhoods we lived in. We vollied the tennis ball back and forth in the dirt road for practice. We visited the cabin when we could. We walked, bussed and drove to school. We did our homework to the munch of frozen cookies and drink. Our violins were practiced upon for orchestra class at OK, Hadley and North. Mr. Hallowell kept us all up to the beat with the musicals we played. The River Festivals were amazing because of all the floats we made at Patty’s! We both studied business classes and in German class baked up those German Christmas cookies. Time spent in Pep Club helped our teams move on to victory! We attended Wichita State University where Patty studied Business Education and I Elementary Education. We met our college sweethearts and married. We both became teachers, Patty at the junior college level in Lincoln and I in Elementary in Kansas, D.C. and Virginia. We visited about our kids and families enjoying them all so much. Patty was a trooper living through the past ten years and we conversed about many things. We were together for our 50th North High Reunion and holidays. I miss my dear sweet friend Patty. She is a blessing to me. I know she rests in peace. ❤️🙏😇

Her obituary stated that she was the most caring and joyful person and that’s exactly how I would describe her as my instructor. She was so kind and easy going and I’m so lucky that I got to have her as an instructor. She was an all around great person.

She made a lasting impression on me with her wealth of Office Professional knowledge. She is missed. My thoughts and prayers are going up for the family.

My favorite part of our spring meeting was finding out how Patty and Ken planned to us their summer payroll windfall. Patty dealt with all our colorful personalities with such grace.

Patty was my neighbor when I was growing up. I couldn’t imagine a better person to have as a neighbor she was always friendly always saying hello and was always positive. Please reach out if there’s anything I can do.

She was always a loving peace maker. Always joyous and spoke kindly to everyone. I lost touch with her and her sisters when I left home. With Facebook, we reconnected and I enjoyed her family posts. I celebrate her journey to her new home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray God’s comfort, peace and hope to all her family and friends, and that God fills their treasure chest with many wonderful memories.
