Paul Rodriguez, 66, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023. Paul Rodriguez was born July 28, 1956, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Bernard and Viola (Maestas) Rodriguez. Paul and his wife, Wanda, were married on February 25, 1995 in Douglas, Nebraska. The first thing Paul did on the day of his passing was sing Wanda “Happy Birthday”.
He loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Kansas City Chiefs. He was a talented billiards player. He loved his fur babies, Baby and Gizzy.
Paul is survived by his wife, Wanda Rodriguez; children, Paul H. Rodriguez, Jr. and Krystal E. Rodriguez; stepchildren, Charity Rush and Jonathon Rivera; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Pat (Judy) Rodriguez and Vincent (Katherine) Rodriguez; sisters, Vivian Rodriguez, Veronica (Terry) Schmidt and Ernestina Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; a brother and a sister.
Paul’s memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 ”O” Street, Lincoln. Condolences may be directed to the family for further designation.
I’ll miss our Saturday pool sessions and watching Husker football won’t be the same without him. My best wishes to Wanda and family.
