We are so sorry to learn of your father’s death. Bob certainly left his mark on Lincoln and the surrounding community. I am sure all of the Magees are proud of Bob’s legacy.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers! God bless you!

I have fond memories of you and your dad when we belonged to Y-Indian Guides and we always opened the meetings by watching the Beverly Hillibillies. May God give you and your family peace and comfort during this time.

I worked at Magees Clothing Store from 1978 – 1984 and enjoyed every minute of it. This was my first job as a young adult, so Bob really was my first boss. He personally offered me lots of training, support and opportunity! He was also kind enough to give me a ticket to attend my first Husker football game…which to me, was an amazing gesture! I have lots of fond memories working for this fine establishment and all the great people associated with it. Bob and the entire Magee family represented true class and professionalism…a reputation SO many Nebraskan’s came to appreciate. May you rest rest in peace in heaven Bob!

They both have left lasting loving impressions on everyone who have had the privilege of knowing them.
Find the blessing in knowing they left a legacy .

My mother, Marjory Zickefoose, helped at the Magee family while she was attending UNL. She shared memories with us. One time she was asked to watch the boys one evening. One of them decided to run away. She knew if she did not catch up with him she would never be able to care for the boys in the future. The next evening at dinner a parent asked the boys how things were the previous night, one of the boys spoke up and said, “she runs too fast”. She did not live with them.

Magee’s were very generous. When they were re-dressing the front window with shoes as part of it, they brought the shoes for my mother as her feet were the same as the sample shoes. She continued to purchase nice shoes of several colors. :-)
