Sharon K. Ernst

We lost our loving mother, grandma, sister and friend, Sharon K. Ernst on August 26, 2018.  She was born October 1, 1946 in Lincoln to Kenneth and Lucille (Thaller) Martin.  Sharon loved working in her yard being surrounded by nature, listening to the birds sing and watching the wildlife play.  Sharon’s family would like to thank everyone that loved her and wants you to know she loved you back.

She is survived by her daughter and significant other, Amy Terrano and Neil Lawhun of Lincoln, her son Jim Ernst of Lincoln.  Sister Marilyn Ideus of Beatrice, Brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Joyce Martin of Lincoln.  Five grandchildren, Ashley Ernst, Theresa Ernst, Alex Ernst, Gavin Terrano and Kylee Terrano.  Sharon is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Wyuka Funeral Home.  Nebraska Cornhusker attire is suggested for the service.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Wyuka Funeral Home from Noon until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M.

Memorials may given to the family for a later designation.

  2. Sharon was such a special friend as we were in the same church family for many years. I watched her tenderly care for “the other Sharon” for so long building an admiration for her that can’t easily if ever be matched. She will be missed by her many many friends. I’m praying for comfort and peace for her family.

  4. It has been years since we have had contact. You we tee e such a good friend in our younger days and I have thought of you often over the years. My prayers to your loved family. May you rest in the arms of Jesus, knowing your spirit touched so many in your journey here on earth. You were loved by many. Prayers for your family and close friends.   6. So sorry for the families loss, she and I were good friends in high school, she was also by bridesmaid when I married Bob Knopp in 1965.
