Sharri Lee Rowley

Sharri Lee Rowley, 71, of Lincoln, NE, died October 29th, 2019 at the Monarch in Lincoln, NE.

Survivors include her Aunt Laneta Anderson, of Benkelman, Nebraska, six cousins; Donna Behlke of Benkelman, Marian Ellis and husband , Robert, of Benkelman, Vonda Knackstedt and husband, Elwin of Kingman, Arizona and Susan Lutz and husband, Marty of Benkelman, Rhea Hatch and husband, Dr. Kenneth of Tucson, Arizona and Randall Anderson of India. Also, her dear friend and care giver, Suzette Alley of Lincoln and many other relatives and friends.

Sharri graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln. When her Mother, Mildred, became ill, she cared for her in their home, until her Mother’s death. Later, for many years, Sharri began doing volunteer work at Bryan East Hospital.  While there, she was delighted to be honored many times for her dedicated work at Bryan hospital. Sharri also loved cats and always had her kitten by her side.

Sharri attended the Methodist Church and rarely missed a service.  She was a very special Lady and was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed.
Sharri was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Anderson Druliner Rowley and Edward M. Rowley.

Memorials May be given in her name to the Monarch at 4201 South 78th St. Lincoln, NE.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4, at Wyuka Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service.

  3. It was a privilege to have met Sharri. Although our lives rarely crossed paths, I heard many wonderful things about her and her lifelong passion to help others. I remember her as a very kind and generous lady. Her family and community will truly miss her. Peace to you Sharri.

  4. Sharri was such a presence in the neighborhood for the 60+ years my family has lived on Franklin Street. Sharri called my homebound mother every day, and was such a lifeline since all of us “kids” live out of state. She will be missed.

  5. Sharri lived in my neighborhood. Years ago we would see her, very often, walking around the neighborhood stopping to speak with anyone outside in their yard. I enjoyed her visits very much. Missed seeing her these last few years. She was a sweetheart. My prayers go to her family. She will be missed very much.

  9. I have known Sherri since we were children running around the neighborhood. When she walked to Bryan and I worked there we always stopped and talked. Our Mother’s were also nurses there. Such a sweet person and always happy. She will be missed.

    • Sharri was so fun to visit with at Bryan Medical Center.
      I wish I would have kept in touch with her when I moved to Omaha.

  11. Sherri Rowley, was a beloved friend of mine and my family, sister Clairie,
    brother Cliff and sister Barbara. Our mother Edith Whiting and Sherrie’s mother Mildred were long time friends.
    She was very special to us all, never forgot a birthday or holiday, always thinking of others.
    She is in the arms of God with her mother and father, she is missed.

  12. Sherri was a wonderful caring person. we knew her and her mother, our mothers were dear friends. Clairie, Cliff, Barbara and I all loved her.
    Although miles away she never forgot us nor did we forget her.
