She was a great person, I worked with Shirley at Goodyear, always smiling and helpful or just to stop and see how you were. Her smile i will always remember. Rest in peace my friend.

I didn’t see her often, but I knew she was Renae’s mom, worked at Goodyear, she had lost a son, And was step mother to my good friends, whom I had grown up with. I met Jeff later when he moved back to Nebraska.

But It was when I came to the ZRIM Ministry in 2005 that I met the Christian Servant Shirley Green. The heart of the ministry. Not long after that she was ordained as the  “Elder” and will always and forever be Elder Shirley to me.  She truly walked in that gift and in the office of an Elder.

She was always there to welcome every one in, with open arms, a smile, and a helping heart. Elder Shirley would  always say “if there is anything I can do, let me know”…And she meant that!

We broke much bread together, had many conversations and countless prayers together.  I always could count on her saying God is in control honey, all we gotta do is wait on him.  There was always prayer with Elder Shirley!!

I thank God for the time he allowed me alongside of her.

She loved her family immensely and always looked forward to her trips to visit in Florida.

She could be ill herself and still looking to help…however she could. When Renae called to tell me she was hospitalized and had her phone. I texted her love and prayers.  And she called me!!

That was just like her…feeling terrible yet calling to ask how you’re doing”  thinking of others…she held that love and care for others.

Elder Shirley rest in heaven my dear friend and confidant. We love you.

Peace be unto the family.
To God be the Glory

Amen.

Shirley was indeed a loving, kind, caring, peaceful, giving, compassionate and genuine woman of God. Her warm and gentle smile could make all your troubles melt away. She was so full of life, love, joy, and wisdom. Her presence will be missed by all that she touched during her time here in this foreign place we call earth. Though she has departed from this earthly place, she is home with our Heavenly Father. May her legacy live on in all who love her and be an inspiration for daily living until we see her again.

As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me – the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing. ~ 2 Tim 4:6-8

I loved Elder Shirley. She was such a loving and kind Woman of God. She had such a sweet spirit. I’m a somewhat sad, but I know she is rejoicing in heaven. She will have no problem praising God. My prayers to her family and church family. Blessings! Pastor Janet Goodman Banks.

She was a genuine and caring friend . My wife’s name was also Shirley and one time someone yelled at me Shirley’s on the phone I answered hi baby what you wearing? Shirley didn’t miss a beat with her patented darling I don’t know how that’s your business but bring home some milk! She was a joy and I loved her!

She always had a big smile and made you feel good. She had a fun, mischievous side to her that made work fun and she was a good supervisor to work for
