Thomas Gregg, Jr., 61, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN. Thomas was born in Rosebud, SD to the late Thomas Gregg, Sr. and Belva Roubideaux Ackerman. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Louise Gregg and sister, Tote (Joan) Gregg.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. Chaplain, Major Scott Ehler will officiate.
Thomas was a Retired U.S. Army Veteran, having served 22 years with tours in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He retired in 1992, from Ft. Campbell, KY, where he finished his career as an Aviation Mechanic with the State Department. He had such a love for cars that he restored a 1960 Ford pick-up truck. He also loved fishing and most importantly his family. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deanna Gregg of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Thomas Jay Gregg of Clarksville, TN and Daniel (Jessie) Gregg of Memphis, TN; three daughters, Cheryl Slivinski of Louisville, KY, Karen Costa of Pine Mountain, GA, and Katherine (Jim) Porter of Springhill, TN; brother, Kermit (Sandy) Williams of North Platte, NE; two sisters, Gorgie Paulhamus and Tinka Duran of Rapid City, SD; two grandchildren, Zachary Costa and Alonna Gregg; and an expectant grandson, Greggory Porter.
