Thomas Ray Laswell

Thomas Ray Laswell, 69, passed away on Friday, April 19th, 2024 in Lincoln, NE. He was born March 5th, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Richard Laswell and LaVerne Smith. Tom battled cancer for 9 years but kept such a positive attitude throughout his battle.

Tom was a fun, goofy, loving guy who could make anyone smile. People often comment how he was able to make them laugh in any situation and he always had fun nicknames for the people he was around most. He was part owner of the paint business, Four Seasons Paint, for over 30 years and ended his professional career as a Custodial Supervisor for LPS at Meadow Lane Elementary where he was loved and appreciated by all the faculty and students.

He loved hanging out with his family, watching the Kansas City Chiefs play, spoiling his two golden retrievers and going for drives out in the country with his wife. He also enjoyed playing golf and baseball.

Tom would do anything for anyone and rarely put his needs before anyone else’s.

Tom is survived by his wife Rhonda; children Nicholas (Jamie), Taylor (Beans A.K.A Adam) and Shane; sisters Connie, Carol and Linda; grandchildren, Jaxen, Caden, Remy, Reese, Leo and Iris and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and LaVerne and brother Richard, Jr.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, April 26th at 10:00AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 7601 Vine St, Lincoln, NE 68505. A Funeral Mass will follow the Rosary at 10:30AM at the church.
