Violet Ida (Wilksen) Wurm, age 94 of Lincoln, died Sat. Jul. 4, 2015. Born Jul. 2, 1921, Benedict, NE, to Henry and Ida (Conrad) Wilksen. Married to Willard G. Wurm of Lincoln on Apr. 18, 1948. Formerly employed at Dorsey Laboratories; as an election worker; and volunteer at the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging.
Survived by son, John (Becky) Wurm, Pleasant Dale, NE; daughters, Katie (John) Kugler, Cozad, NE, Becky (Scott) Clark, Lincoln, NE; brother, Leslie Wilksen; grandchildren, Anna Kugler, Autumn (Caleb) Wiechmann, Hattie (Roger) Rasmussen, Luther (Kristina) Kugler; step grandchildren, Aaron (Monica) Taylor, Cory (Brandon) Jackson; 9 great grand children; 4 step great grand children; sister in law Dorothy White; brother in law Roy Schwarzkopf; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her parents; husband; one brother; two sisters; and one great grandson.
Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., Jul. 11, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 724 S. 12th St, Lincoln. Visitation on Fri., Jul. 10th at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 “O” St, Lincoln, from 4-8 p.m. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 “O” St., Lincoln. Memorials: Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch; Lutheran Bible Translators; and Lutheran Indian Ministries; donate blood!

I was saddened to hear that Aunt Violet died. My mother always spoke so highly of her little sister and on the few occasions I got to see her I was touched by her warm and friendly nature.

we were sad to here of the passing of your mom. she was such a dignified lady. We remember the times she would walk to our house for a visit and to see the kids. She was so proud of all of you. Family was a strong value to her. Cherish your memories they are priceless.
