William H. LeMaster, age 82, passed away on April 19, 2024, in Edinburg, TX. He was born June 10, 1941, in Council Bluffs, IA to Clifford and Melissa LeMaster.
Bill joined the US Airforce after high school and served 4 years, including time served in Korea. After moving to Lincoln, NE, he worked as a guard at the Nebraska penitentiary and later sold insurance. He married Joyce Meyer on May 27, 1977. They discovered a love of RVing, joined the Rolling Turtles RV club of Lincoln and went on many memorable trips with them. During this time, he bought and restored classic cars; 1957 Chevys and Camaros were his favorites. He worked as a meat cutter until his retirement. This is when he and Joyce began RVing to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas for the winter months and spent summers at Lake of The Ozarks in Missouri. In 2020, they moved permanently to Texas Trails RV Resort in Pharr, Texas. Bill kept busy with golf, wood carving, playing Texas Hold’em, playing Bridge, constructing an RC track at the resort, and running his 3 RC cars. He and Joyce also loved going on cruises, the last of which they went on 4 weeks before he died. He loved football, especially his Chicago Bears and the Nebraska Huskers.
Bill was a kind, caring gentleman, and a friend to all. He loved his stepchildren as his own and was always there for them. As the grandchildren came along, he extended his love to them. Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce; step-children, Rick (Jone) Meyer, Sherry (Dave) McCullough, Cindy (Patrick) Bell, and Michael Meyer; step-grandchildren, Erin (Shane) Wolfe, Richard J. (Clara) Meyer, Carrie Bennett, Katie Bennett, Jamie (Andrew) Richardson, Ashley Bennett, Shane (Samantha Ryan) Bell, and Zachary (Megan) Meyer; step-great-grandchildren, Skyler and Jamison Wolfe, Dylan, Junior, and Cayden Meyer, Jasmine and Britney Kirwan, Niccolas Cabielas, Lakota and Lilly Bennett, Jacob Richardson, and Harper Grace Bell; and step-great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon Tunnick, Emberly Bures, and Aaylinn Winkle.
