To the Vlasak family I offer my sincerest condolences. I had to pleasure of knowing and studying with Rick in medical school. He was a highly intelligent, talented, and kind person with integrity. We had many rich conversations and spent some days off after exams exploring. We lost touch after the medical school years but I thought of him and had hoped to reconnect. Rick made a difference in this world. He leaves us but his spirit and memory carries on in those who had the privilege of knowing him.

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear William. I hope that you will find comfort in the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29 where he promised that the day is coming when he is going to resurrect back to life those in the grave. Until then, it is just like they are sleeping. (John 11:11-13) May your family draw strength from Jehovah, the God of all Comfort.

Dear Vlasak family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Dr. Vlasak. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.
